A sub group was created at the KMFC AGM in November to monitor and run activities related to drones and more specifically; FPV Racing.
This part of the hobby is gaining popularity over the last year and several members are now building and flying the small drones regularly.
Flights are still governed by the Civil Aviation Authority in the UK and pilots must adhere to the Air Navigation Order just the same as any other model flight. There are some differences however when using FPV (First Person View) you can read about them on our website here.
We aim to put together a small practice/racing circuit in the near future at our site. This will enable existing and new members to participate safely in this new addition to the hobby.
